In this 2.5-hour session, you will delve into the art of traditional craft techniques, learning to design your own decorative and practical handmade ropes. After a brief introduction to Sanne's work as an internationally renowned designer, researcher, and maker, she will guide you on a journey to explore a new craft. Experiment with different sustinable materials and fibres as you design and craft your own unique objects and gifts.
This workshop is perfect for anyone eager to discover the intricacies of materials, fibres, ropemaking techniques, knots, finishing, and braiding applications—all while enjoying an evening filled with hands-on creativity and joy.
No prior experience is required, making it suitable for all abilities. All materials, tools, and refreshments are provided. Feel free to bring your own materials too, if desired.
The workshop commences at 18:00, so please ensure you arrive on time to catch the introduction.
